A Treasure to Behold

JD Gordon’s Dartboard is an action-filled adventure set on the high seas of the Caribbean

Glen Ellyn, IL – Real life, modern day pirates exist.  In 2006 two US Navy Warships near Somalia were attacked by grenade throwing pirates.  No sailors were injured; however in the return fire three pirates were critically wounded.

Dartboard features Jimmy Quigley, a small town deputy sheriff, and his crew of friends as they strike out in search for the lost Lorraine gold.

The HMS Lorraine was transporting a cache’ of gold for the British war effort in the American Colonies, when she went down in a Caribbean storm. The information to find these riches lands in the hands of Jackson Quigley, a real life Indiana Jones working for the Field Museum in Chicago. After the death of his wife Jackson decides to leave the civilized world. The Lorraine gold was a project that Jackson never quite completed. As his last act Jackson decides to pass this adventure down to his nephew Jimmy Quigley.

After receiving a summons from a Chicago attorney representing Jackson Quigley, Jimmy attends the reading of his uncles will and finds that he has inherited Dartboard, a classic motor yacht, moored in the Florida Key.  Jimmy meets Evelyn at the reading of the will.  She was employed as a summer intern with Jackson and spent time working on the material to find the lost gold. The two of them join forces with her friend, Kristin, and an old college chum of Jimmy’s named Rick.

Pirates also have their eyes on the Lorraine gold and will stop at nothing to get their hands on it.
